To build this article I went through over 50 winner UX portfolios, looking for patterns, and we will go through 12 items to have on your case study, plus 5 items to the overall portfolio page, + The 20% you should be focusing on.

Are you ready?

Hey, guys, hope you are doing well! Today I will be talking about one of the most critical subjects in the UX Career ‘’P-O-R-T-F-O-L-I-O’’ .

The Pareto principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, is a phenomenon that states that about 80% of outcomes are generated by 20% of causes. This means that you shouldn't be putting too much effort to get great results, you just need to know where to put the effort on.

So, what is the 20% that you should be focusing on in your portfolio to generate better results?

We will have 3 moments in this article

1 — Casy study structure — 12 items/sections

2 — The basics for your overall portfolio website — 5 items

3 — The 20% effort that you should be putting into it

Without any further do, let’s dive way into it:

Casy study structure — 12 items — Plus a few golden tips 💡

First I want to play a game with you, let's pretend you are a recruiter and you need somebody capable of improving the amount of booking and user experience in your App, let’s say you work for booking.com.
